Fremont, California, July 12, 2022 — Optoplex today announced that it has successfully developed and released 1GHz DPSK Delay-Line Interferometer (DLI) for quantum key communications (QKD). The product is based on Optoplex’s proprietary technology of athermal free-space optics design of miniature interferometer which features unparallel performances, such as low insertion loss, Accurate delay, polarization-insensitive, and extremely good environmental stability.

Optoplex was the first to introduce the DPSK optical phase demodulators almost 20-year ago and since has been the market leader in high-speed optical networks (4G and 5G) from initial terrestrial and sub-sea to recent aerospace (satellite, 6G) applications.

Besides the fixed FSR (fixed delay), Optoplex is also developing variable delay-line-interferometer (variable DLI) to provide the flexibility to our customers in their QKD systems.
