Fremont, California, March 10, 2014 — Optoplex today announced its mass production of a new product – called “super-flat-top” comb filter.  

The super flat-top comb filter is a good candidate in various applications such as

• Signal’s spectral profile shaping, particularly for 100Gbps and 400Gbps signals in telecommunications
• Side-band suppression in DWDM optical communications
• Internal wavelength reference in optical systems

The super flat-top comb filter is based on Optoplex’s proprietary free-space optics-based micro-interferometric platform. It features low insertion loss, wide and flat-top pass band, high peak-to-valley contrast ratio (isolation). Other advantages include small size and low-cost.

In addition to standard offers for different FSR (free-spectral-range) from 12.5GHz, 25GHz, 50GHz, 100GHz to 400GHz, Optoplex also provide custom design and manufacturing services to satisfy customer’s special requirements and applications.
